I did my usual shopping this morning on
the market, it was cold! Master went to the gym and sauna.
We had to get some flowers and a bottle
of wine for our lunch date. In Sweden one brings flowers if you are
invited, and alcohol. A lot of people have dinner parties, as going
out is quite expensive. On Fridays you can see the queue at the train
station people buying flowers. We had to look for the entrance to the
house. It is an old apartment block. The flat is furnished with
antiques and fine paintings. It was all very tidy. Ingrid looked very
at home there. It was basic home cooked food, apparently the
accountant is an enthusiastic amateur chef. He is actually a very
funny guy. It was obvious that Ingrid had instigated the invitation,
but he has been to enough upper class social functions where he was
sat next to single ladies that he is quite good at small talk. We
felt a bit out of sorts there. We went for a walk when we left.
Stockholm in winter is quite magical, with all the lights. There was
an ice rink on a public square. We stopped to have a look for a
while. It was busy, being a weekend. We bumped into Mats and Sahid
when we came home. Mats is still limping a bit. They had been to
Sahid's family for a meal. We invited them for drinks later. Master
had to go out and get some. Well, we have the office full of alcohol,
but we d not want to touch that at all, it is club stock. We both
were not keen to have any alcohol, as we had some wine with lunch. He
just bought juice, posh juice. We both drink mostly water. I need to
keep well hydrated.
