Hard life on the farm

I slept well after all that work yesterday. The kids were eager to go to the den with me, but I had to put them off for an hour while I did my business. I instructed them to find suitable branches and I would follow. I brought a small saw and some rope and we managed to build a good solid roof. The children collected some ferns which I wove between the branches. I reckon they will have a good den all summer. It started to rain when we came home for lunch. Cousin was annoyed, that meant he had to abandon his job for the afternoon in the field and do the paperwork instead. We had some extra children at the house all afternoon and Trude and I managed to keep them entertained. The kids mother had been taken ill, she is 6 months pregnant, and cousin had taken her to the hospital. Luckily everything is fine, but they are keeping her in for observation. We all had dinner here, spaghetti with sauce. What a mess!

In the evenings I like to have a pretend chat with the cuddly toy, I call it Owe. I have to use all my imagination that it is him, as of course it does not ask any questions, like Owe would do. I miss our dinner talks. I phoned him yesterday to wish him well for his first day at work. I have actually not have had much time to do much thinking. Which is good?
